USA, North Carolina: Thousands of Duke Energy customers were left without power in Belmont, North Carolina on Monday night due to a transformer failure.
Duke Energy said that a transformer failed at a substation off the Highway 273, I-85 and Browntown Road, reports WCNC.
While more than 4,000 customers were affected by the incident, Duke Energy is yet to investigate what caused the transformer to fail.
