Kyrgyzstan, Toktogul: A special commission has been established to investigate the causes of the failure of a recently repaired transformer at the Toktogul Hydro Power Plant, which had caused an emergency outage of HPP’s units 1 and 2.

Units 1 and 2 were put back into operation on December 24, according to Kyrgyzstan Prime Minister Temir Sariev. The day before, an emergency outage of the second hydraulic unit transformer had occurred, damaging the transformer, reports Tazabek.

The damaged transformer was repaired in June 2015 together with the engineers from Ukrainian Zaporozhtransformator.
