Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur: HeiTech Padu Bhd, which recently ventured into the electrical, mechanical and civil engineering business for the energy sector, has won a $6 million contract from Malaysia’s largest electric utility company Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB).
HeiTech Padu’s subsidiary Duta Technic Sdn Bhd has been selected by TNB to set up a 132/33 kV (2X45 MVA) Tunjung main intake substation in Kelantan, with power transformers and associated electrical equipment, reports The Star Online.
The two-year contract will start on 7 January 2016.
HeiTech Padu is the IT system and technology services provider which bought a 51% stake in Duta Technic Sdn Bhd in August, with an aim to diversify its core business.
