Germany: Siemens has signed a €9 million ($10 million) contract to supply the Iraqi market with 1,250 distribution transformers.

Due to reconstruction or restoration of existing substations, the end customer, Ministry of Electricity of Iraq (MOE), needs immediate replacements and new transformers to help maintain a safe and reliable power supply, the manufacturer states in the press release.

The 630 kVA transformers will be delivered from February 2016 until the end of the year.
