Turkey needs planned investments in transformer stations

Turkey, Istanbul: Participants at a recently held climate panel in Istanbul have agreed that Turkey has excellent potential for developing solar and wind power.

Discussing the renewable energy opportunities in the country, Turkey Wind Energy Association Chairman, Mustafa Serdar Ataseven, stressed the necessity for investments in transformer stations and transmission lines, calling for the efficient planning of government policies and strategies in this regard, reports Hurriyet Daily News.

He also said that Turkey’s wind power potential was 25-30 percent higher than Europe’s.
