PGCIL orders seven auto transformers

India, Gujarat: Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) has placed a $12 million order with Siemens for the procurement of seven auto transformers to be installed at Bhuj, in the state of Gurajat.

The scope of the order includes the supply, installation and commissioning of seven 500 MVA, 765/400/33 kV auto transformers, reports Equity Bulls.

The new transformers will transmit power generated from renewable sources.
