Siemens Ltd. receives order for $32.5M project in Bangladesh

India, Mumbai: Siemens Ltd. has received an order worth approximately $32.5 million from Power Grid Company of Bangladesh Limited (PGCB) for a regional power exchange project.

The order includes supply of 400 kV/230 kV power transformers, switchyard equipment, reactors, fire-fighting systems, and all other requisite equipment and protection systems for 500 MW high voltage direct current (HVDC) station, the manufacturer said in a press release.

The project is part of India-Bangladesh agreement for power exchange as per South Asia Sub Regional Economic Co-operation (SASEC) by Asian Development Bank (ADB).
