China XD Electric Co., Ltd. has recently been awarded a $30 million power transmission and transformation project by Electric Company of Ecuador, which is the first Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) contract China XD Electric has ever clinched in Americas.
The project includes construction of a 230/138 kV transformer station, as well as building an 18 km long 138 kV line and a 10 km long 230 kV line. The construction period is 20 months, reports Trader Planet.
The project is located in northwest Ecuador, near the country's border with Columbia, and it will contribute to connecting the power transmission lines of Ecuador and Colombia.
