USA, Missouri: Empire District, an electric utility company servicing Missouri, has installed two new power transformers in Ozark to increase reliability of the Ozark area’s electrical system and help prevent longer power outages.
These transformers will break up a long transmission line into smaller parts, so if a problem occurs in one of the parts, fewer customers will be affected, and in case of an outage, the time of the outage will be shorter, reports CC Headliner.
The new transformers will also improve the reliability of the neighbouring substations.
The project is part of a bigger operation aimed at increasing the reliability of the transmission and electric system, as well as add more protection to equipment.
