Argentine, Tucuman: La Cocha substation in the province of Tucuman has been expanded with a new power transformer, increasing its capacity by 15 MVA.
The upgrade project included removal of the existing 15 MVA transformer and an installation of a new 30 MVA unit, reports
The new transformer has doubled the capacity of the substation, which will meet the growing demands in La Cocha, San José, Taco Ralo, El Sacrificio, Graneros and Juan Bautista Alberdi.
The provincial electricity distributor announced that, in the future, the substation capacity may be further increased up to 60 MVA.
