Santa Clara data center to be powered up with new transformer
USA, California: Vantage Data Centers, a provider of data center solutions in support of mission critical applications, will begin the construction of the planned V5 data center next week in Santa Clara, California.
Along with the construction of the four-story facility, which will add an additional 15 MW of capacity to the largest wholesale data center campus in Santa Clara, Vantage will be expanding its on-site substation by adding a third 50 MVA power transformer to support the construction of the new V5 facility, the company said in a press statement.
With construction beginning next week, the new V5 facility is expected to be ready for customers beginning in mid-2018.
