The Philippines: Aiming to prevent outages in Metro Manila, the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) is planning to embark on a Pasay City Substation project.
The project is part of NGCP’s Transmission Development Plan and includes construction a 230 kV substation, with power transformers and associated electrical equipment, on Diokno Avenue in Pasay City, reports Manila Bulletin.
The project also includes a provision to connect the Pasay substation directly to a substation in Bataan through a high voltage submarine cable.
The proposed Pasay substation is critical to supporting the growth, development, and energy security of the Western part of Metro Manila.
