Two freight companies, Philco International and Gevatrans Limited teamed up to deliver a transformer and its spare parts from France to its final destination in Agios Nikolaos Voiotias, Greece.
The two companies coordinated logistics and transport operations and were able to provide customer with full monitoring of the shipment from departure to delivery, reports AJOT.
The project comprised three crates, the highest exceeding 4.71 metres in height. The main body of the transformer was allocated into a 40’ Flat Rack and spare parts into a 40’ High Cube of outsize and overweight ocean freight.
The transformer shipment project was undertaken for General Electric France and Aluminium of Greece.
