Spain, Basque Country: The heaviest transport in the history of the highway route AP-68 in northern Spain has successfully made its journey to Portugalete, west of the city of Bilbao.
A gigantic power transformer weighing close to 500 tons transformer was transported along the route on an 85-metre long and 4.3-metre wide trailer, accompanied and supervised by Ertzaintza police force, reports La Rioja.
The transformer left the Itsaso substation in Gipuzkoa on Monday, and last night completed its journey from the port of Altube to the Ballonti shopping centre in Portugalete.
Its final destination is ABB factory in Galindo in Trapagarán.
