India, New Delhi: Indian Electrical and Electronics Manufacturers' Association (IEEMA) has requested from the Secretary of Ministry of Power to investigate the high prices charged by National High Power Test Laboratory (NHPTL) for short circuit testing of electrical equipment.
In a letter to the Secretary, IEEMA’s Director General, Sunil Mishra, said that the prices charged by NHPTL for short circuit tests are much higher than those quoted by foreign laboratories, reports knn.
Such charges are seen to be a reason for Indian manufactures to go to foreign labs for short circuit testing.
More rational prices would better support global presence of Indian transformer manufacturers, IEEMA urged.
