Chile's independent electric system coordinator embarked on an international road show to promote upcoming tenders for transmission works that will entail more than $1 billion spending in 2017 and 2018.
The international roadshow had stops in Colombia (29 September), Chile (3 October), Spain (10 October) and Brazil (19 October), reports BN Americas.
The coordinator itself will conduct the majority of the tenders.
"From here to 2020, we're going to have a transmission system that's capable of receiving all the new generation that wants to enter in different parts of the system," Coordinator president Germán Henríquez said, according to BN Americas.
