Nigeria, Nasarawa: The Niger Delta Power Holdings Company (NDPHC) has launched an $18 million substation project in Akruba, Lafia, the capital city of Nasarawa state.
The project includes construction of a 330 kV injection substation with two 150 MVA power transformers, which will source power from Makurdi transmission line running through Lafia into Jos, reports Nigerian Tribune.
In addition, a new 132 kV injection substation will be constructed with two 60 MVA transformers, while TCN (The Transmission Company of Nigeria) will build another two 60 MVA transformers, according to NDPHC’s Managing Director, Chiedu Ugbo.
The project is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
