Canada, British Columbia: The Government of Canada has awarded a contract for the replacement of the main (north) substation at the Esquimalt Graving Dock, located in Esquimalt on the Vancouver Island.
The project valued at CAD 15.8 million (USD 12.5 million) includes construction of a new, modern substation building and replacement of the aging power transformers with modern and efficient equipment, reports Markets Insider.
The replacement of the main (north) substation at the Esquimalt Graving Dock began in December 2017 and is scheduled for completion in December 2018.
Esquimalt Graving Dock is the largest deep-sea shipbuilding and repair facility on Canada's Pacific Coast.
