USA, Virginia: Appalachian Power is planning to build new electric facilities in the Botetourt Center at Greenfield to improve local electric reliability to customers and increase economic development opportunities in Botetourt County.

The proposed work includes building a new 138 kV substation, approximately 3 miles of distribution line and a small section of transmission line to connect the new substation to an existing 138 kV transmission line, AEP Transmission stated in the press release.

Once the project is approved, construction is expected to start in summer 2019 and be completed in a year.
