Colombia: Colombian utility company Empresas Públicas de Medellín (EPM) will install 15,000 green power transformers that use vegetable-based dielectric oil, the company announced in the press release.

These pole-mounted transformers operating with biodegradable, non-toxic oil have a longer useful life and allow greater energy efficiency.

The new transformers, green in colour to indicate they are eco-friendly, will be used for new installations and replacements in the regions where the EPM Group distributes electric power in Colombia.
