Australia, Victoria: A large 663-tonne power transformer is set to be transported from Geelong Port through to Lismore, on its way to Haunted Gully in south western Victoria.

The power transformer will start its three-day journey at Geelong Port, where it will be loaded from boat to the 115-metre long and 5.5-metre high vehicle, which will travel at the speed of about 15-20km/h, reports Bay 93.9.

The transformer is part of a new Terminal station at Haunted Gully.

The asset will be owned and operated by AusNet Services, which is building a 75-kilometre long transmission line from the 149-turbine Stockyard Hill Wind Farm to the terminal station.
