India, Greater Noida: Three children have been burned to death in a fire triggered by a transformer blast in Greater Noida, India.
The blast occurred in the sector of phi-III of Greater Noida on Wednesday afternoon.
The victim’s family members said they contacted the electricity department and made several complaints regarding malfunctioning of the transformer but no one responded.
The transformer was placed at the substation of Noida Power Company limited (NPCL). Following the incident, senior police officials along with officials from NPCL reached the spot of the accident. Families of the children killed will receive a compensation from NPCL.
